About the Thrift Store

The Saint Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Durand opened in May of 2012. It is owned by the Conference and operated by dedicated employees and volunteers. Its continued success depends upon this staff and generous donations of goods and funds from the community.

The store provides a place for all people to shop at reasonable prices for a variety of merchandise. We accept new or gently used articles, such as clothing, shoes, household goods, books, knick-knacks, furniture, etc.

Profits from the store are vital in providing assistance to our neighbors in need; be it with housing, utilities, food, car issues, medical concerns, and other basic life necessities.

Clothing, furniture, and other household items that we have in the store are given to those who cannot afford them. Donated clothing, shoes, books, bags, purses, toys, and more that have not sold in the store are sold to contracted recycling companies to be made into other usable items. This process keeps them out of our landfill.
