October 2026 SVdP Newsletter

Welcome Fall! The colors of autumn are so breathtaking, and with Thanksgiving coming soon, let us be grateful and appreciate all that God has done for us!
We have been very busy at SVdP with many things to share with you.
The Good Shepherd SVdP Conference in Durand, attended the SVdP Regional Conference that was held in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This Regional Conference included SVdP members from Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Susan Wiland is our Regional President, and spoke about the story of Green Bay. Members were also encouraged to read the book entitled, Poverty by America, by Matthew Desmond.
The Good Shepherd’s Conference also recently elected new officers. They are as follows:
John Weber – President
Judy Schlosser – Vice President
Brenda Bauer – Treasurer
Carol K. Bauer – Secretary
We have a new member as well that has joined us: Chris Weisenbeck. We welcome Chris to our Good Shepherd Conference group!
The SVdP Society also requires a public commitment ceremony each year. This year the commitment ceremony was held at Holy Rosary Church during the 6:00 P.M. mass. Below is a photo of our conference members.
