SPRING Newsletter of SVdP, May 2026
As I write this newsletter, I am pleasantly reminded of the incredible beauty of nature that yields this vibrant season of Spring! The Spring birds are chatting to each other, and a kaleidoscope of flowers pop up with lush green grass to help us recall how God has created such a masterpiece, which is ours to admire and appreciate.

The mission of SVdP is always to grow closer to Jesus. Both in our conference and in our lives, Jesus remains the central figure of everything. As St. Paul wrote to the Colossians 1:17: And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. As we go through the struggles and joys of each day, let us remember that Jesus is there with us always. The God of the universe loves us and cares deeply for us. He created us and we are not left as orphans, because living with God, we never walk alone.
From the Manager’s Desk…
In April, we sent a semi load to Remains, LLC in St. Louis, MO. We recycled a total of 41,420 pounds. We were paid per pound for these items. If you have clothing or textiles that need to be recycled, don’t throw them in the trash, please separate them from the saleable items you are donating and mark the bag or box “recycle”. We will take care of the rest! It might not seem like much, but it truly adds up. We save you a trip to the landfill, together we help the environment, and you help us make extra money to help your neighbors in need. Thank you for being part of our green solution, giving us your business and your generous donations. We couldn’t do it without your support!
We are always looking for volunteers! Call Natalie at: 715.672.8975 for more information 😊
Whether it be an hour or more of your time, volunteering can be so helpful to us! Come join our merry band 😊

Let us remember that our kind words and charity for others are so important.
“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me.” Matthew 25:40
Again, thank you so very much for supporting the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, so together we can do these works of charity for those who are in need in our area. God bless you!

Be Blessed,
Mary Zika
Micah 6:8 teaches that the Lord requires us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him.
